“Lake of Fire” It was 4:37 in the morning when I was on a plane going to Manila. I looked outside my window and saw the break of the day. The cities below looked like they were on fire, a beautiful destruction. The illusion was just a softly blended rainbow. There was vivid red, a bit of orange, sunshine yellow, following into a tint of neon green, turquoise blurring into deep, dark blue. I didn’t have a camera with me and I was itching to take a picture. I imagined myself as a sponge; and gazed at it hoping that I would be able to vividly capture the scene in my mind so that I could paint it later. Of course, I can’t compete with God and this is the best I can do. I knew God was working at that time. I wanted to know how He does it everyday. It just reminded me that God is the most amazing artist ever. He created every little thing in the whole universe. It was surprisingly overwhelming and my heart felt heavy. It was like being asked to carry a ton of candy, literally. In retrospect, I want to thank God for little opportunities and circumstances. It’s not everyday I get to ride a plane and by chance see a sunrise 30,000 feet above the ground. (yes, I googled that fun fact) It’s so awkward to end this sooo bye :D
